Audi R8 Spyder spotted in the filming for 50 Shades of Grey film.

The film is poised to hit cinemas in 2015, but fans were given a sneak peek of its central character’s sleek car  the Audi R8 Spyder this week as shooting continued in Vancouver, Canada.

Indeed, principal photography on 50 Shades of Grey is is well under-way, with Rita Ora – cast as Christian Grey’s sister, Mia – currently in the Canadian city after catching a flight out of Los Angeles on Tuesday (Jan’ 14).

While the singer was nowhere in sight on Friday, the distinctive Audi R8 Spyder driven by Christian – played by Jamie Dornan in the film adaptation – was on show as filming continued in earnest.

Fans of the E.L James best-seller will be familiar with the car favoured by its lead, who purchases one for Anastasia Steele, in white, for her birthday.

But anyone hoping to get their hands on their own will have to dig deep – prices start at £101,360 for a brand new version of the car favoured by Grey.

Elsewhere Rita Ora is poised to make her acting debut in the much anticipated film after confirming her appointment on Twitter in December, tweeting: “It’s official! I’ve been cast in @FiftyShades of Grey as Christian’s sister Mia.”

The film is expected to hit cinemas on February 13, 2015.

A Ferrari 458 Italia isn´t for every-one!

Although the Ferrari 458 always figures very high on the list of most desirable cars for every-one, it has to be said it isn´t always the best match for every Hemingway client. Those clients who are best described as big guys should read what The Rock posted on Facebook recently.

The Rock is a big, bad dude, so he needs a car to match. On paper, the Ferrari 458 Italia would be a perfect match. It’s fast, beautiful and exclusive.

The Ferrari 458 Italia is also a pretty small car. Being a track-ready sports car means they didn’t include a lot of extra room for comfort, because that would mean extra weight.

The Rock’s car needs to be big enough to fit his massive 6’5” frame inside, so the Ferrari might not be the best bet for the actor’s daily driver.

The Rock lamented on Facebook that he loved the Ferrari but just doesn’t fit:

“570 horse power of brilliant Italian engineering + 260lbs of Samoan Black Silverback = another fine ride I don’t fit in.

Ellen deGeneres gifts a Land Rover

She’s usually surprising audience members with unexpected gifts on her show, but Ellen DeGeneres recently gave her wife Portia de Rossi a shock.

Sharing it all in a segment titled Celebrity Christmas Stories, the affable host explained, ” ‘I got her a car. That was easy. But I had to hide it in the attic…which was not easy. It was a car she really, really wanted and was obsessed with this car. It’s pretty rare.

Setting the scene, the 55-year-old comedian begins, “So there is a car called The Defender, and there aren’t a lot of them, and every time she sees one, she says ‘I love that truck. I love that it is so cool.’ But they are hard to find. I found one in Texas. I had it trucked in and I parked it in a shopping area I knew we were going to go shopping in later that day and had the bow on it. So we were walking and I knew she would notice it, so I filmed it with my phone.”

Spotting the vehicle immediately, the “Arrested Development” star asks, “What about that car, did you get me that for Christmas?” Upon seeing Ellen with a keys, the shocked actress exclaims, What, are you kidding?” Check out her reaction in the player below.

A date in history made by Aston Martin in January 1965.

On Jan. 9, 1965, the James Bond movie “Goldfinger” opened in American theaters, showing of the Aston Martin Silver Birch DB5 sports car.

Aston Martins would appear in many Bond films, but no Bond car has quite matched the style and elegance of the DB5 (totally our opinion). The elegant coupe also made appearances in “Thunderball” and “GoldenEye.” The film “Die Another Day” featured Pierce Brosnan in an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, and the Daniel Craig version of “Casino Royale” featured an Aston Martin DBS.

The Silver Birch DB5 makes another appearance near the end of “Skyfall,” the most recent Bond film.

Gratuitous Ferrari 458 moment.

We are not prone to stereotyping but at first it seemed that this was just a gratuitous bit of video of a pretty under dressed girl in a fast car but after a straw poll in the office we decided that this is really quite funny and shows what a good sport Playboy model Jesse Preston is for letting this go viral.´

Yes, it’s another video of a beautiful girl screaming behind the wheel of an exotic supercar, this time a Ferrari 458 Italia at the Las Vegas racing tack. The video was filmed by a company called Exotics Racing, which seems to be a Nevada company that leases supercars like this one for hot laps.

The tires on the Ferrari 458 Italia cost about $30,000 to be changed, so we at Hemingway do not in any way condone this irresponsible behaviour with the fabulous Ferrari 458 but don´t mind this bit of entertainment with some one elses car!  570 horsepower and a limited slip differential ensure plenty of screams, smoke, engine noise and adrenaline for the girl.

When did you first fall for Ferrari?

The privilege of driving a Ferrari is something that should never taken for granted. No matter how many times you take the seat and start the engine you should always make a mental note that you are enjoying a wonderful piece of engineered art. Like Barry Cohen you may have a moment in your life when you first fell in love with Ferrari? This is his story about his first Ferrari experience.

Barry Cohen, 60, is the founder and co-CEO of San Rafael, California-based Luminox watches, on his Ferrari 550 Maranello, he tells his story to  A.J. Baime:

When I was 12 growing up in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., I heard a sound that changed my life forever. I was in my house awaiting a friend and his father to pick me up when they arrived in a Ferrari 275 GTB—one of the most exotic sports cars of the 1960s. The purr of the V12 engine was intoxicating. It was like I was drunk on the sound. When I squeezed into the front seat (there were only two) and we pulled away, my dream took root. I was too young to understand what made a Ferrari so special, but I knew that someday, I had to have one.

The more I learned about this car, the more I wanted to know—how a man named Enzo Ferrari  created a company in bombed-out Italy after World War II turning out the fastest automobiles in the world. I read in Road & Track about cool guys like James Coburn driving their Ferraris around California.

It took years to make my dream come true. In 2001, I bought a 1998 Ferrari 550 Maranello, a front-engine V12 model in the same lineage as the 275 GTB I first fell in love with.

Now I own 3 Ferraris. Every time I drive them, the sense of wonderment I experienced as a child returns.

How old do you have to be to have a Lamborghini?

You’re never too young to have a Lamborghini, right?!

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West boarded a private plane with North West on Friday, and once they arrived, the 33-year-old reality TV star posted a pic of her daughter’s gift.

The six-month-old got a baby-sized Lamborghini that looks just like her daddy’s real one! Kim captioned the moment, saying: “Like father like daughter”

What a cute idea!

Now North can roll around town the driveway looking all kinds of fabulous.

Lamborghini Murcielago good for shopping trips? No!

“The problem with a Supercar like the Lamborghini Murcielago is…. ”  – not a phrase to be heard very often but in the case of Kevin Conway this could be his cry.

We all know that guys can’t say no when it comes to fast cars and when we say fast cars we mean Lamborghini Murcielago kind of fast. This means that if one was given such a car, he will ride it everywhere.

This is the case of Kevin Conway and his Murcielago. In case you might not know who Conway is, let us tell you a bit about him. So, he is an American stock car racing driver, 2010 Nascar Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the year and as most supercar owner he can too experience car trouble from time to time.

Oh well, lets say that his problems are slightly different than the problems of regular people. It seems that going to Target in a supercar isn’t exactly the best idea.Why?! Because you won’t be able to fit an entire cart full of groceries into a Lamborghini’s small boot.

What we want to know is was he expecting all that stuff to fit? And why is he shopping for cheap pillows and bedding?

Yes, quite the issue there. Let’s paraphrase Jay-Z and say Conway’s “got 99 problems but the [Murcielago] ain’t one.”

First Ferrari LaFerrari to go to London.

The limited edition Ferrari LaFerrari is starting to be spotted around Europe and the States now but this is the first one to be delivered to London and is rumoured to belong to Samuel Oto ´o. Apologies for the quality of the photo´s but as it is the first black one to be seen we hope you´ll excuse the grain?

The car is currently in Paris to be registered before making its way to London, Samuel Eto’o  recently moved from Paris to London as he made the move following a transfer to football club, Chelsea. Eto’o previously played for Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, attending games by flying from his home in Paris, however life is a little more simple now by living near his new home ground. He’s previously been seen regularly driving in the French capital and since the move in London

Chelsea’s striker is known for his passion for supercars as he already owns an Aston Martin One-77, an Aston Martin V12 Zagato, A Ferrari 599 Stallone by Mansory, a Bugatti Veyron and a Gemballa Mirage GT but his latest addition to his garage is most like the most important one he ever made. We’re talking about a Ferrari LaFerrari, finished in black, which is the company’s first ever hybrid supercar. This will be the first LaFerrari to be delivered to London and this is also the first one seen finished in black.

The Italian supercar in question has been unveiled during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, back in March, along with one of its main rivals, the McLaren P1. The vehicle is offered in a single body style, with a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. Power is being provided by a 6.3L V12 unit, with 789 HP at 9,000 rpm and 700 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. The petrol burner is backed up by a 161 HP electric motor. The total output produced stands at 950 HP and 900 Nm of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in less than 3 seconds and a 350 km/h (217 mph) top speed.
