Lamborghini finally finish the series of “teasers”.

Lamborghini has finally released a video of its newest car the Huracan in action. It’s actually the fourth in a series of videos, and as you may recall I was not a fan of the first three. This one does redeem the series somewhat, but that’s only because the Huracan is absolutely stunning.

If you haven’t seen the first three videos, and believe me you shouldn’t, they follow the three stupidest Brits in the world on their distinctly non-epic quest to break into the Lamborghini factory to get a look at the new Huracan. Oddly enough, the videos are called the “Hexagon Project”, even though there are four, not six of them. Though, I am just glad I didn’t have to watch two more.

Lamborghini Aventador cooks Christmas lunch.

If you are already thinking about how to cook your Christmas bird next year take a look at this clip.  A Lambourghini Aventador LP760 Oakley Design could do the work for you.

A man named Shmee, a.k.a. Tim, filmed himself in an ugly Christmas sweater trying to cook a turkey with the more than $400,000 car. He stands behind the car holding the turkey while an unknown driver revs the engine.

“We’ve got the most perfect turkey cooking car you could possibly imagine,” says Shmee. Because that’s something everyone imagines doing during the holidays.

Things don’t seem to go quite as planned. The car manages to throw a couple of flames and the camera switches back and forth from the car’s tachometer to Shmee awkwardly holding the turkey to the car’s exhaust pipe. The turkey still looks raw when the camera cuts to Shmee with some fully cooked turkey.

“A short while later and a lot of flames, we have one cooked turkey,” says Shmee. “So it’s time to try a bit. Perfect. Time to go home for Christmas lunch.”

If you do happen to have a Lambourghini in the driveway and want to try this at home, make sure you’ve outfitted the car with teeny-tiny reindeer antlers.

Lamborghini Murcielago good for shopping trips? No!

“The problem with a Supercar like the Lamborghini Murcielago is…. ”  – not a phrase to be heard very often but in the case of Kevin Conway this could be his cry.

We all know that guys can’t say no when it comes to fast cars and when we say fast cars we mean Lamborghini Murcielago kind of fast. This means that if one was given such a car, he will ride it everywhere.

This is the case of Kevin Conway and his Murcielago. In case you might not know who Conway is, let us tell you a bit about him. So, he is an American stock car racing driver, 2010 Nascar Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the year and as most supercar owner he can too experience car trouble from time to time.

Oh well, lets say that his problems are slightly different than the problems of regular people. It seems that going to Target in a supercar isn’t exactly the best idea. Why?! Because you won’t be able to fit an entire cart full of groceries into a Lamborghini’s small boot.

What we want to know is was he expecting all that stuff to fit? And why is he shopping for cheap pillows and bedding?

Yes, quite the issue there. Let’s paraphrase Jay-Z and say Conway’s “got 99 problems but the [Murcielago] ain’t one.”

Third Teaser Video from Lamborghini.

The three annoying boys are back in the third of the teasers for the replacement Gallardo.

Lamborghini is back with a new video teasing its supercar destined to replace the Gallardo, which recently ceased production. Expected to be called the Cabrera or Huracan or perhaps something else entirely, the new supercar should be revealed soon as suggested by the title of the latest teaser video, Getting Closer.

The video is the third from Lamborghini’s strange Hexagon Project marketing campaign. The first tease was of the sound of the new car’s exhaust note, which isn’t an unusual teaser for the type of high-performance cars you expect from a brand like Lamborghini.

But then the Hexagon Project became a series of pointless videos featuring three annoying lads from the U.K. who travel to the Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese to get an unauthorized look at the car. The first video saw the lads reach their destination, the second saw them sneak into the building and this third one has them reach the production floor. Unfortunately, we still don’t get a glimpse of the car.

Lamborghini’s new supercar, which will compete against the likes of the McLaren 12C and Ferrari 458 Italia, will use a revised version of the Gallardo’s chassis and engine, most likely in combination with a dual-clutch transmission instead of the previous e-gear automated manual.

As with the Gallardo, all-wheel drive will be standard, but Lamborghini may release certain rear-wheel-drive models in the future.

Peak output should come in at 600 metric horsepower, meaning a 592-horsepower rating here in the U.S.

Lamborghini Gallardo replacement Cabrero may be changing name to Huracan.

The highly anticipated Lamborghini Gallardo successor will reportedly eschew the Cabrera name and adopt the Huracan moniker.

Nothing is official but Auto Express is reporting Lamborghini trademarked the name last April and a source has confirmed it will be used on the Gallardo successor. The magazine goes on to say Huracan is Mayan for the “god of fire, wind and storms” and was eventually adopted as the Spanish word for hurricane.

As we have previously reported, the model is expected to use a naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine that produces approximately 600 bhp (447 kW). It will likely be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which could enable the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in roughly 3.2 seconds.

Seeing a supercar in action is always a gratuitous pastime so we thought we would share this with you.

Lamborghini has recently taken the new Veneno supercar to the Vallelunga Circuit, in Spain, and the footage posted below is showing the model in action.

The Lamborghini Veneno may have been unveiled back in March 2012, during the Geneva Motor Show, but the supercar is being placed into the spotlights more often these days, firstly with the announced limited production number and now with a video which is showing the vehicle in action on the Vallelunga Circuit, in Spain. If you want to see the impressive Lamborghini Veneno in action, giving its best on the track, all you have to do is scroll down and click the play button.

The Lamborghini Veneno is currently being offered in two body styles, coupe and roadster, and the model has been specially created to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary. The Lamborghini Veneno, in its both body styles, is taking its power from a 6.5 liter V12 engine, which is producing a total output of 740 HP (552 kW). The unit is mated to a 7-speed ISR robotized manual transmission, which is allowing the Italian vehicle to reach a top speed of 354 km/h (220 mph).

A Lamborghini Factory Tour Mistake Allows Visitor to Peak at Gallardo Successor – New Details

Lamborghini have shared that we will be getting some details before Christmas on the Gallardo successor but thanks to the guys at Only The Best, we get some details right now.

They recently went on a factory tour in Sant’Agata Bolognese and managed to get a peak at the new Lamborghini. As they left the Aventador production line they caught a glimpse through an open door of the new Gallardo finished in the stunning Verde Ithaca with gloss black wheels. They go on to mention the following;

Rendering below is extremely accurate

It features grilles across the rear window, they span across the entire rear window, they appear closely styled from the Lamborghini Miura and many renderings have not featured these. (This was seen in one of the earlier prototypes as pictured above.)

The rear styling is sharp and reaches a high-point very similar to that of the Aventador.

Overall the Gallardo successor will appear almost like a stumpy version of the Aventador, however it looks spectacular.

They are currently in production.

It does not feature scissor doors as seen on the Aventador, we were told this is reserved for V12 models only.

Some things not confirmed but very likely;
Engine will be 5.2-litre V10
Share chassis with second-gen Audi R8
Produce 600 horses and called LP600-4

Thank you to www.zero2turbo.com for sharing this with us.

Lamborghini Veneno Launched

The 3.3 million euro Lamborghini Veneno car has made its first public debut in a manner befitting such an expensive and exclusive car – on a fighter aircraft. Now Lamborghini has come out with an official release and pictures of the car’s grand premiere. Here’s the official word – listing out all the details about this super exclusive machine along with a few more images.

Sant’Agata Bolognese, 2 December 2013 — The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster made its public debut on board the Italian naval aircraft carrier Nave Cavour on 1 December 2013.

At an exclusive ‘Italian evening’ attended by authorities, clients, VIPs and media, the limited edition super sports car, of which only nine will be produced, was formally unveiled on the flight deck of the 240 metre ship while docked in Abu Dhabi’s Mina Zayed port.

“The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is one of the world’s most exclusive cars with the most extraordinary performance,” says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Lamborghini, commenting on the event. “We are honored that Lamborghini was chosen to represent the Italian car industry in the UAE, as a perfect example of iconic Italian super sports cars, and that we have the opportunity to show the Veneno Roadster for the first time in Abu Dhabi. Lamborghini has an extremely strong following in the region for its super sports cars, with the Middle East one of our largest markets in the world.”

The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is a fully road legal, open top car, bringing the aerodynamic efficiency of a racing prototype to the road, with extreme design and breathtaking performance. The nine units will be built during 2014, priced at 3.3 million euro excluding taxes.

With a maximum power output of 552 kW / 750 hp, the V12 Veneno Roadster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 355 km/h. Shown in Abu Dhabi in the specially developed colour ‘Rosso Veneno’, each client will be able to individualize the colour of his Veneno Roadster to suit their personal preference.

The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster was unveiled in the presence of His Excellency Giorgio Starace, Italian Ambassador to the UAE and the Admiral of High Seas Forces, Paolo Treu. Guests on board Nave Cavour enjoyed hospitality from chef Corrado Corti of Italy’s famous Hotel Splendido in Portofino, who flew in especially for the occasion. Singer and actress Elena Bonelli opened the event with the Italian national anthem; fashion designer Giada Curti offered a tableau vivant of her creations with ten top models. One of the happy few to sit in the Veneno Roadster was former captain of the National Italian soccer team and 2006 world champion Fabio Cannavaro.

Lamborghini Veneno Roadster – a collector’s Masterpiece of Engineering and Design.

The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is an open racing prototype with an extreme design and breathtaking performance. And it is one of the world’s most exclusive automobiles – not more than nine units will be built during the course of 2014 and sold at a price of 3.3 million Euros (excl. tax).

The Veneno Roadster is extreme and guarantees an intense driving experience – because open means truly open. There is no roof, just a strong rollover bar for optimum safety. The design is focused on optimum aerodynamics and stability through fast corners – with handling akin to that of a racing prototype. Yet it is fully road legal.

With a maximum output of 552 kW / 750 hp, the Veneno Roadster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and top speed stands at 355 km/h. The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is driven by a twelve-cylinder engine with a displacement of 6.5 liters and is equipped with the extremely fast-shifting ISR transmission with five modes, permanent all-wheel drive and a racing chassis with pushrod suspension and horizontal spring/damper units.

The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster brings the aerodynamic efficiency of a racing prototype to the road. Every detail of its form pursues a clear function – exceptional dynamics, optimum downforce with minimal drag and perfect cooling of the high-performance engine. Therefore the Veneno Roadster is unmistakably a Lamborghini; it sticks firmly to the consistent design philosophy of all the super sports cars from Sant’Agata Bolognese. That includes the extreme proportions, as well as the powerfully arrow-shaped front end and the interplay between razor-sharp lines and precise surfaces.

The entire design of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster has been laid out for perfect airflow and downforce. The front end works as a large aerodynamic wing. The visual division of the rear fenders from the car body is a reference to the world of racing cars and optimizes the aerodynamic flow. The smooth underbody transitions into a substantial diffuser framing the four sizable exhaust pipes divided by a splitter. Large openings serve to ventilate the engine bay and direct airflow to the rear wing. The design of the adjustable rear wing is the product of motorsport experience and extensive aerodynamic simulation to ensure optimum airflow in the interaction of the rear wing with the rear diffuser.

The design of the exclusive alloy wheels is also determined by aerodynamic functionality – a carbon-fiber ring around the wheel rim works like a turbine to deliver additional cooling air to the carbon-ceramic brake discs. The intense paint color “Rosso Veneno” was developed exclusively for the Veneno Roadster, although each single customer will be able to individualize his own vehicle to suit his personal preferences.

The Veneno Roadster is further proof of Automobili Lamborghini’s unique competence in CFRP-based lightweight design. A monocoque made from carbon-fiber reinforced polymer forms the basis of the Roadster. All exterior parts are made from CFRP. The Veneno Roadster meets all safety and registration requirements worldwide, and naturally also incorporates a full complement of safety systems from airbags through to the adapted ESP handling system.

Carbon fiber dominates also the interior of the Veneno Roadster. The carbon fiber monocoque is visible inside the car around the central tunnel and the sills. The two lightweight bucket seats are made from Lamborghini’s patented Forged Composite. The woven carbon-fiber CarbonSkin is used to clad the entire cockpit, part of the seats and the headliner. Like a hi-tech fabric, this extremely fine-looking carbon-fiber matting fits perfectly to any form and reduces the weight of the vehicle.

The systematic, carbon-fiber, lightweight design of the Veneno Roadster is not only visible, it is also evident on the scales: with a dry weight of just

1,490 kilograms (3,278 pounds), the Veneno Roadster benefits from a powerto- weight ratio of just 1.99 kg/hp (4.38 lbs/hp) which guarantees a performance that is nothing short of mind-blowing. Even the stunning acceleration figure of 2.9 seconds cannot adequately describe it. Despite an aerodynamic setup configured for extreme downforce, the Veneno Roadster possesses exceptionally low wind resistance which allows it to reach a top speed of 355 km/h (221 mph).
